Approximately 25,000 homes in south-east Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the state, generating wind gusts topping over 100 km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Destruction
Locals reported large ice chunks as large as 7cm in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across the state had been hit with substantial ice precipitation.
